Sarah Lewis grew up on a farm in Northamptonshire, UK, and horses have always been a part of her life. Her father worked in the racing industry, they had a big hunter livery yard. Both Sarah and her mother competed.
Progressing through the Pony Club in the UK, and experiencing success in Working Hunter Pony Classes, Sarah then started eventing. She evented up to CCI2* level, and was lucky to bring two horses to this level having her first experience at competing in Europe and having a some good placings and wins nationally.
Sarah then changed disciplines to Show Jumping and started training with Irish International rider Shane Breen. Shane gave Sarah tremendous confidence, and improved her riding beyond belief. Sarah was very lucky to buy Doonaveeragh Emma as an unbroken three year old, and with Shane’s help produce her to jump CSI2* 1.45 ranking classes, and win her first Longines ranking points. Doonaveeragh Emma is a quick and careful jumper and is a prolific prize winner up to 1.40. In 2019 she placed in CSI2* 1.35 and 1.40 classes in Lier, Bolesworth, Le Touquet, Jardy, and Bonheiden. Sarah now also has Kvint, an 8 year old jumping up to 1.35 in CSI2* shows. He had placings in 1.30 classes in CSI2* in Bolesworth, Le Touquet, Jardy and Bonheiden in 2019.
Sarah also has two lovely young horses, 6 year old Askeaton who will jump international six year old classes in 2019 and 5 year old Hurricane Heidi who will jump nationally, and hopefully will jump international 5 year old classes towards the Autumn of 2019.
“I started using Precision on my two top horses in November 2018. Both horses look fantastic and have never felt so good and sound to ride.”
